DB Cargo, the active rail freight subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, is led by CEO Bernhard Osburg, who also serves as Chief Executive Officer of DB Cargo AG. The organization’s management structure includes Christian Jeck as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, alongside key executives heading specialized functions. Pierre Timmermans serves as Member of the Management Board for rail logistics, overseeing the Logistics sub-function within the Supply Chain department, leveraging his extensive expertise in logistics and rail operations. Dorothée Appel holds the role of Chief Information Officer, leading the Information Technology function, with Christian Leininger serving as CIO-Project Lead for IT Development. Oliver Tietze acts as Chief Restructuring Officer, anchored within the Strategy function. Martina Niemann serves as Chief Financial Officer/Controlling Officer, heading the Finance function, and since July 2026 also serves as a Member of the Management Board for Special Tasks.
