Vanguard is led by Chief Executive Officer Salim Ramji. Reporting directly to the CEO are several managing directors and functional leaders, including Joanna Rotenberg (Managing Director, Advice and Wealth Management), Matt Benchener (Director, Vanguard Personal Investor), John James (Managing Director, Workplace and Advisor Solutions), Chris McIsaac (Managing Director, International Division), John Bendl (Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer), Nitin Tandon (Chief Information Officer, Managing Director), Joe Brennan, CFA (Managing Director, Global Chief Risk Officer), and Jon Couture (Managing Director, Chief Human Resources Officer). Under the Finance function, led by John Bendl, Amma Boateng serves as Managing Director, Financial Advisor Services. The Information Technology function, headed by Nitin Tandon, includes Kim Petersen (Chief Information Officer, International Division) and several sub-functions: Data Management and Analytics, led by Ryan Swann (Chief Data and Analytics Officer) with Fernando Levy (Chief Data Officer, Risk, Fraud, Legal and Compliance); Enterprise Architecture, led by Michael Carr (Chief Technology Officer); Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, led by Mani Iyer (Chief Technology Officer and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer); and Information Security, led by Manish Nagar (Chief Information Security Officer). The Risk Management function is led by Joe Brennan, CFA, and the Human Resources function by Jon Couture. Additionally, Lauren Valente serves as Managing Director, Workplace Solutions under the Others function.
