Abbas Virji

Abbas is the MD of Shalina Healthcare Ltd (SHL) since April 2024. A strategic and innovative thinker, Abbas has successfully driven the growth of SHL. He has taken calculated risks to develop many new business opportunities, providing leadership to a hand-picked team of top-notch professionals. The change in his role has enabled the growth of 3 Shalina people to be the CEOs of 3 distinct businesses to drive our growth for the coming years. Born in Africa and having grown up in London, Abbas gained his undergraduate degree in Business Studies from Cass Business School (previously City University) in 1999. He is a keen adventurer and an avid sportsman and loves most racquet sports, especially tennis. His family and community are extremely important to him and he has been married to Shaan since 2008. Abbas has travelled and worked extensively across Africa, Asia and Europe. He is proficient in French, Urdu and Gujarati.
