He began his career as a news assistant and was an intern for The Wall Street Journal Europe. He is a global champion for press freedom and a defender of intellectual property rights of news companies in the age of Generative AI. Latour is a member and former chair of the World Economic Forum’s Media, Entertainment, and Sports Governors Community, a board member of the Atlantic Council, and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and a Financial Leaders Fellow at the Aspen Institute. He speaks and writes regularly about leadership, growth strategy, the future of media, press freedom, geopolitics, financial learning and literacy, and the ideas that shape power, purpose, and performance. A native of the Netherlands, he lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.
