As CTO, he engages with the regional ecosystem in academia and industry to represent IBM’s technology vision and drive collaborations in Sovereign AI and quantum computing.As Director in IBM Software Innovation for AI on and for IBM Z, Amith leads a global research effort to advance the state of the art in Foundation Models and Agentic AI for Software Engineering and Automation research to accelerate and enhance the software development and operations lifecycle on IBM mainframes. These innovations drive value for clients via a number of AI-native products from IBM.Amith is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and Carnegie Mellon University.
