Welcome to my LinkedIn page. This account is personally managed, it is not an official ACT Government account and is not monitored or operated by the ACT Public Service. Messages are not actively monitored. Questions and comments can be made via email to barr@act.gov.au The High Court of Australia has recently determined that the administrators of public social media pages are 'publishers' of comments posted by third parties and members of the public on their page, for the purposes of defamation law. This means that the page owner is now legally responsible for user comments on posts. I have personal accounts on multiple social media platforms. Comments on posts come through at all hours of the day. I cannot respond to them all and I cannot moderate every comment. For this reason, comments are generally not enabled on posts. I will continue to regularly post information on this page. Users are able to share posts and like, or dislike, content. Political commentary is authorised by Andrew Barr for ACT Labor.
