Passionate about solving the problems of access of financial and developmental services to the less privileged and under-served sections of our society. Arun has been working on relevant products & services for the past 15 years in various capacities within one of the largest Microfinance organizations in India, CreditAccess Grameen Limited (CA Grameen), also known as Grameen Koota. He has been an integral part of the management team which has driven the growth & evolution of Grameen Koota from INR 200 Crores portfolio back in 2010 to INR 25000 Crores (3 Bn USD). He has handled multiple roles in strategy, products, new initiatives, operations as well as technology at Grameen Koota. Currently leading the Operations and Business analytics team at CA Grameen - leading one of the enterprise level process re-engineering projects for the group lending business. He has previously been Head of Strategy for 3 years as well as Head of Information Technology (IT) for 6 years. He has also played a critical role as the transition lead during the merger of Madura microfinance with CA Grameen in 2020-21. He joined CA Grameen in November 2010 & was initially responsible for all new initiatives, third party partnerships, product development and customer service until 2013. Arun has been instrumental in expanding Grameen's digital offerings to customers such as AePS based withdrawals, UPI-based collections as well as Insurance offerings such as Hospicash and Savings linked insurance. He has worked on multiple enterprise-level transformation projects including implementation of Core Banking System which has served as the backbone to fuel Grameen's growth, field force automation solutions digitizing and re-engineering the entire process from onboarding to loan processing to loan collections, launched multiple financial products, both credit and third party products such as insurance, pension & savings as well as shaped the data & technology strategy for the organization. Key competency areas include Microfinance Strategy, Process design & re-engineering, Data strategy, Technology Strategy & Architecture, Project Management, Product Innovations, New product development, Customer research, Customer service delivery. Before joining CA Grameen, he was heading the Retail Service Quality team at Barclays Bank in Mumbai where he helped the bank set up its customer relationship management (CRM) system and led numerous process improvement projects from customer perspective. Arun has also worked in Infosys and been an integral member of an Oracle ERP implementation project.
