With over 30 years of experience, Atul is a seasoned finance professional with expertise in establishing businesses, leading large teams, and driving unprecedented growth through strategies built on sustainable models. Of the many roles in his career, what interests Atul the most is building an enterprise from scratch. As the man behind building the best low-ticket collections model in the BFSI industry, he has, over the last decade, led key portfolios in Bajaj Finance Ltd (BFL). In early 2018, he took up the mantle to run Bajaj Housing Finance as the Company’s CEO and today, he serves as Managing Director for the Company. Atul has been instrumental in driving the Company’s multi-fold asset growth since inception. Further, his risk-averse approach has served the Company well, especially in navigating industry crises in the recent past. Under Atul’s leadership, Bajaj Housing Finance has emerged as one of the top private mortgage originators among HFCs in India, bolstered by a steady risk-averse approach, a diversified product suite, and strong debt management capabilities. Prior to Bajaj Housing Finance, Atul spent 16 years at Bajaj Finance. He was at the helm of the Collections team for over 11 years at Bajaj Finance as the Chief Collection Officer, post which he spent 4 years as President – Rural Lending & Collections and 2 years as the Enterprise Risk Officer for the Company.
