Insurance is concerned with everyday life. This is one of the most important lesson I have learned working in this industry over the last three decades. In fact, insurance is deeply intertwined with finance and markets and its role goes far beyond underwriting risk and collecting premiums. It has to do with real economy. It has to do with human activities. In a sense, it has to do with people. It is very exciting to be part of it, especially as Group Chief Risk Officer of Assicurazioni Generali, one of the major players of the insurance market.
