Cesar Pina

As Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer of North America, Cesar leads a team that fosters and stewards supplier partnerships – an enduring competitive advantage for the McDonald’s System. The teams he oversees leverages the scale of over $16 billion spend to deliver value across the company’s restaurants, customers, and the communities it serves and operates in. Prior to his current position, Cesar served as Corporate Vice President, Global Strategic Sourcing for Food, where he implemented sourcing practices that led to improved supply chain resiliency. Throughout his McDonald's career, Cesar has made significant contributions to drive meaningful change, including developing a deforestation-free beef supply chain in Latin America and partnering across all three legs of the stool – franchisees, suppliers and employees – to develop strategic supply plans supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy. Prior to joining McDonald’s, Cesar worked at General Mills supporting manufacturing operations across brands including Green Giant, Nature Valley, and Big G cereals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Beyond his professional achievements, Cesar is a passionate advocate for advancing youth education and removing barriers for underrepresented communities. Driven by his commitment to creating inclusive environments where everyone feels supported and empowered to achieve their goals, Cesar is a proud member of his Local School Council and is actively involved in mentoring youth.
