I am honored to serve as president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in Texas, with 18 hospitals and over 280 care delivery sites throughout the Greater Houston area. Our 6,400 employed and affiliated physicians and providers and over 35,000 employees practice the highest standards of safe, quality care for the two million patients we serve annually.For over 119 years, Memorial Hermann has been committed to improving health in the Greater Houston community, contributing nearly $500 million annually in charity care and community benefit programs.At Memorial Hermann, the health of our communities is the center of all we do. Our goal is to deliver high-value care for patients and populations. This includes delivering the greatest outcomes at an optimal cost, creating exceptional experiences for patients and a fulfilling work environment for our workforce and improved health access in the communities we serve.Before Memorial Hermann, I held leadership roles at UTMB Health, UCLA Health and The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. While my focus has evolved since my start as a physician in a surgical practice dedicated to cancer treatment, my commitment to delivering positive outcomes and providing exceptional experiences for patients remains constant, as does my firmly held belief that health care providers play an essential role in leading broader change to improve the health of our communities.
