As Chief Agency Officer at Canara HSBC Life Insurance, I am entrusted with setting up and expanding our proprietary distribution strategy with a singular focus i.e. building a future-ready agency ecosystem that scales with trust, productivity, and purpose. With over 23 years in the insurance industry, I’ve had the opportunity to wear multiple hats across agency, bancassurance, and proprietary sales, enabling deep insight into what drives distribution excellence at scale. My current mandate is both strategic and execution-focused: to build a robust agency channel from the ground up, deliver sustainable revenue growth, and align with the IRDAI’s bold mission of “Insurance for All by 2047.” What excites me most is unlocking untapped markets, mentoring high-performing teams, and bringing a people-first mindset to every challenge. Before joining Canara HSBC Life, I spent 19 years at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, where I led diverse teams and held regional and national roles in Agency and PSF (Proprietary Sales Force) distribution. Earlier, my journey began at Axis Max Life Insurance in the agency channel giving me a well-rounded perspective on how to grow, adapt, and lead in dynamic environments. I believe that the future of the insurance industry extends beyond numerical metrics, encompassing sustainable growth, stronger customer relationships and meaningful impact.
