Dr. Akhilesh Dayanand Sharma, is a senior pharmaceutical professional, who is an M.D. & Fellow of Royal College of Medicine at Liverpool U.K. and further trained in clinical research and Global Pharmacovigilance at Berkley Extension, California University, USA & Management Forum, UK and . Held leadership positions in leading multinational pharmaceutical companies in US and India for around 30 years with recent position as President and Chief Medical Officer & in recent past as Chief Scientific officer. Associated as teaching faculty across various academic institutes internationally in areas related to translational research in drug development, clinical research, biomarkers, innovation in drug development, pharmacovigilance, market access strategies, differentiated Medico-marketing & brand life-cycle management. Core area of focus is innovation in novel targets and technologies including technology platforms and creating intellectual property as well as proprietary product development & approval for the organization. He has to his credit about 54 scientific & research publications, 49 patents and holds membership of International pharmaceutical society, American academy of dermatology, American Diabetes association, European society of respiratory medicine. He is an executive founder and co-founded GeneXY a biomarker research & Development company at Philadelphia (Pennsylvania university complex) USA. He also is executive founder of a not for profit NGO called, “Health Alert Organization of India”.
