Govind is a senior technology leader with over 30 years of rich & diverse experience in the Banking & Finance industry offering extensive & hands-on international experience across Consumer Banking. A key influencer & collaborative partner with a winning & positive change-orientation mindset, he has a proven track record of delivery of large-scale international cross-functional change programmes. His capacity for conceptual or ‘big picture’ thinking, an innate learning orientation and high intellectual capital enables him to quickly grasp strategy at macro level and translate this to execution. At Standard Chartered, Govind has built rich international experience across various technology domains globally spanning Mergers & Acquisitions, Core Banking, Private Banking & Wealth Management, Data Analytics, Cyber Security Integration and Programme Management. In leading these areas, Govind has delivered large & complex cross functional initiatives that have significantly accelerated business development & growth, optimized technology footprint & costs. The successful delivery of these initiatives have enabled him to build strong relationships with business partners and be a trusted advisor Prior to the roles in Singapore, Govind was the Country Technology Head for India during which he led the setup and build out of the technology infrastructure of the Shared Service Centres of Standard Chartered in Chennai, the technology infrastructure integration of ANZ Grindlays Bank and the migration of the country’s core banking system from local to standardized group systems. Through his wide ranging experience, Govind has honed the capacity to build trust and be a caring leader who encourages rapport and open & honest communication. This is combined with the ability to genuinely enjoy collaboration, empowering others and create conditions for collective success An engineer by qualification, Govind earned his degree at the National Institute of Technology Trichy (India) where he majored in Computer Science & Engineering
