John Hall

I currently serve as the President and Managing Director for JD North America (part of the JD Group). More than 35 years ago, I started my journey in the retail industry on the sales floor at Nordstrom. During my 29 years at Nordstrom, I experienced tremendous personal and professional growth, ultimately leading multiple sectors of our merchandising teams. In 2016, I embraced a new challenge as President and Chief Merchandising Officer for athletic footwear and apparel retailer, Finish Line (eventually becoming part of the JD Group as JD North America). Today, I oversee the full JD North American operation (inclusive of JD Sports, Finish Line and Finish Line Macy’s) and empower our teams to consistently stay ahead of market trends, ensuring our customer experiences and product offering remain at the forefront of the industry. I am passionate about serving our employees by fostering an environment where they can thrive and find success, embrace diversity, and be known as The Place to Grow.
