Kulin Lalbhai

Kulin, a fifth-generation family business leader and Vice Chairman of Arvind Limited. Kulin also oversees the new initiatives for the Arvind Group’s consumer and digital businesses including Arvind Fashions, Arvind Smartspaces and Syntel Telecom. Arvind Limited is a USD 3 Bn conglomerate with valuable businesses in multiple industries ranging from textile, retail, branded apparel, advanced engineering, real estate, telecom, internet to environmental solutions and more. The Group employs nearly 36,000 professionals and contributes significantly to the Indian economy through exports in over 100 countries, job creation, and technological advancement. An alumnus of Stanford University and Havard Business School, Kulin believes in challenging the status quo, fostering a culture of empathy and innovation and carrying forward Arvind's century-old corporate and philanthropic legacies. Under his guidance, Arvind Fashions, one of India’s leading brand houses with marquee brands like US Polo, Arrow, Flying Machine, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, has expanded into new categories like kids’ wear, footwear and handbags.His passion for the digital transformation agenda at the Group has steered Arvind’s evolution from being an offline retailer to a leading omnichannel brand company. He has also been closely involved in the Group’s foray into real estate (Arvind Smartspaces), with over 15 Mn square feet of projects under execution. Additionally, Kulin works actively with industry bodies. He is the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Gujarat, and heads the national textiles committee. He leads the sub-committee on India-EU FTA negotiations and is the vice chairman of the Retailers Association of India (RAI). He is passionate about fitness and enjoys reading books on philosophy, biographies and fiction.
