First and foremost I am an Engineer. My ethos is, "If you don't know how to build software with your own hands, you likely wouldn't know how to build good software with AI". With over 24 years of experience in statistical machine learning now branded AI, cloud computing, enterprise grade data computing and complex systems design, I am the Group Digital & Information Officer at UniCredit, a leading pan-European bank. As a member of the Group Executive Committee, I am responsible for running all technology, operations and security for the entire group of 13 banks including driving the digital transformation and innovation strategy of the Group. I joined UniCredit in July 2023, after a successful tenure as a Partner at PwC, where I led the US Industry Cloud and the Cloud Engineering Capability. In these roles, I helped clients across various industries to adopt cloud-based solutions, optimize their business processes, and enhance their performance and resilience. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to create value for UniCredit and its customers, stakeholders, and employees, as well as contributing to the advancement of the financial sector and the society at large. I hold a Master of Science in Complex Systems Design from MIT, a Master of Science in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Bachelor of Science in Econometrics from Purdue University and an Associate's degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
