Luis Felipe Avellar

Global business leader with over 20 years of experience at The Coca-Cola Company, driving growth, innovation, and sustainability across Africa and Latin America. I have led some of the company’s most dynamic and complex markets — including Mexico, Brazil, and the South Cone in Latin America, as well as Southern Africa — delivering strong commercial results while creating long-term value for communities. I joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2002 as a Finance Specialist in Brazil and went on to hold a series of roles of increasing responsibility, including General Manager for the Brazil South Region, Vice President and General Manager for Southern Africa, and President of Brazil and South Cone operations. Most recently, I served as President of Coca-Cola’s Mexico operations before being appointed President of the Africa Operating Unit in 2025, based in Johannesburg. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and an Executive MBA in Finance from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, and completed the Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School in Spain. Throughout my journey, I’ve built strong partnerships with bottlers, governments, and communities — consistently embedding sustainability, community impact, and portfolio innovation into business priorities. Today, I’m committed to strengthening Coca-Cola’s contribution to economic growth, trade, and investment across the African continent.
