I am a Deputy Secretary with more than three decades experience in various roles within the Australian Government. I currently lead a group in the Department of Social Services with responsibility for advising on policy across the spectrum of social security payments and the child support system. I also have responsibility for disability employment programs. I have a strong background in economic and fiscal policy. I am a trusted adviser having coordinated the Federal Budget and implemented reforms in a range of policy areas, including tax policy and establishment of the Future Fund. I have represented the Australian Treasury on international matters including spending three years as the Treasury representative at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris. I led the delivery of the Treasury's corporate support and strategy as its Chief Operating Officer.
