Executive Overview
I am the CFO of DHL Group, the world’s leading logistic company – and no, I don’t think “I’m in Finance” is a boring conversation stopper. For me, my job wonderfully touches every part of our business. And while finance has always been business critical, I see that importance increasing daily – from the digitalization of typical financial tasks like accounting and controlling to the strengthening of compliance and sustainability. Today, logistics is one of the most exciting and quickly developing industries around, and I’m thrilled and proud to be part of such an integral driver of that development. I am a physicist by training and entered the business world as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. I then joined private equity company Apax Partners, before starting at Deutsche Post DHL Group in 2004. I worked in different positions and areas within the Group and was appointed to the Board of Management in November 2014. Since October 2016 I have been Chief Financial Officer. Besides enjoying the scientific exactness of financial figures and data, I am very interested in the future of mobility. And when I’m not number crunching, I love spending time with my family and friends.
