Eric Tan

Eric Tan is a technology and security executive recognized for driving transformation across regulated industries from FinTech to Public Safety to Legal. As Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Goodwin, an AmLaw 25 global law firm, he leads the firm’s digital strategy, modern platform development, and responsible AI adoption to enable smarter, more secure collaboration between lawyers and clients. Prior to Goodwin, Eric was CIO & CSO at Flock Safety, where he built the technology, security, Trust & Safety, and Data Privacy teams while modernizing Flock's platform. He chaired the company's Responsible AI & Risk Committee and led compliance across Criminal Justice, National Defense, and ISO standards. During his tenure, Flock grew into one of the most trusted public safety technology companies in the U.S., reaching a valuation of $7.5 billion. Earlier, as CIO & SVP at Coupa Software, a $7 Trillion spend platform where Eric scaled the company from ~$80M to ~$1B ARR, guided it through its IPO, and integrated more than a dozen acquisitions before its $8B sale to Thoma Bravo. At PwC, he founded the Cloud Computing practice and advised Fortune 500 and regulated organizations on digital transformation and cybersecurity. Eric has been recognized by The Wall Street Journal as a “Technology Decision Maker,” is a member of CNBC’s Technology Executive Council, and serves on the board of Prevention Now, a nonprofit using AI and data to disrupt human trafficking.
