Mukundan Menon

Mr. Mukundan Menon joined Voltas Limited in July 2023 and brings with him a rich experience of over three decades leading organisations in India and overseas. He is known for his experience and expertise covering the entire spectrum of HVAC products namely - Room Air conditioners, Commercial Air Conditioners and Commercial Refrigeration Products. Prior to joining Voltas, Mr. Menon has been instrumental in turning around Blue Star’s product business and held the position of the President & Chief Operating Officer of Blue Star Limited and Director of Blue Star Climatech Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Star. Mr. Menon is also serving as the President of “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manufacturing Association” (RAMA) which represents leading MNC’s as well as Indian companies in this space and is an active member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) India’s premier business association, representing Indian Industry, working with the Government for policy making and nation development. Known for his strategic understanding of the opportunity the Indian market presents and a sharp focus on the Air conditioning and Refrigeration domain, Mr. Menon has a strong connect across the value chain. Given his operational experience across domains including entering new markets, building new product categories and scaling up businesses with a clear long-term strategic vision and exceptional short and mid-term execution capabilities, Mr. Menon has carved a niche for himself as a visionary and an astute leader. On the academic front, Mr. Menon has a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, a Graduate Diploma in Management, along with Executive Management programs from IIM (Indian Institute of Management) and has also successfully completed a Leadership Excellence program from INSEAD, France.
