Neil Brinson

Neil Brinson is a technology executive with over 25 years of experience driving growth, innovation, and transformation. Currently, he holds the position of Chief Information Security Officer for Core & Main (NYSE: CNM), a leading distributor of waterworks and fire protection infrastructure products in the U.S. Neil leads the Information Security team and is responsible for the company's cybersecurity program, ensuring the security and protection of information and systems crucial to Core & Main. Since joining US Filter in 1998, one of Core & Main’s legacy businesses, Neil has held positions in and led various technology disciplines, including Infrastructure, Application Development, and Information Security. He has played a key role in over 35 mergers and acquisitions that shaped Core & Main, growing the business from 120 locations with $1B in revenue to more than 300 locations generating over $6B in revenue. Twice in his career, Neil has led complete IT standups following divestiture to new private equity ownership. Once in 2002, when US Filter sold the Waterworks Distribution Group to form National Waterworks, and again in 2017, when HD Supply divested HDS Waterworks to create Core & Main. In 2006, he was responsible for integrating the business into The Home Depot, and in 2007, he played a crucial role in integrating Hughes Supply. In 2021, he was a critical part of preparing the company for a successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Serving as the Chief Technology Officer, in 2019, Neil earned recognition as the winner of the Georgia CIO of the Year ORBIE award for Large Enterprises, and he served as an Advisory Board Member for the Georgia CIO Leadership Association.
