After joining the Group back in 2008 and holding various leadership positions across geographies and key functions, I have the honor today of serving as EssilorLuxottica’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO), leading the Company alongside CEO Francesco Milleri. I am also a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. EssilorLuxottica is a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses. Together with our 180,000 talented and committed employees, our mission is to help people around the world to “see more, be more”, by addressing their evolving vision needs and personal style aspirations. Since joining the Company more than 13 years ago, I have been responsible for managing key corporate functions and geographies. In July 2010, I was appointed co-Chief Operating Officer, responsible for both large geographic zones (Europe, Asia and Latin America) and transversal global functions (Human Resources, R&D, industrial activities, transformation program, IT, etc.), then of Essilor’s Lens business since 2017. In March 2020, I became Chief Executive Officer of Essilor. While maintaining my responsibilities at Essilor, I was involved in the business combination between Essilor and Luxottica since January 2017. In close collaboration with Francesco Milleri and his teams, I have since been actively working on advancing the integration and synergy plans of the two companies. I was appointed as Deputy CEO of EssilorLuxottica in December 2020. Before joining the Company, I spent 20 years at Air Liquide where I held operational and strategic leadership roles at group level across businesses, geographies, as well as R&D, engineering and IT. Between 2002 and 2007, I served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Belgian Group Lhoist. Besides my passion for business and the optical world, I am a keen sailor and I had the privilege to be the navigator of the French sailing team in the 1983 America’s Cup. I believe this passion has given me the mindset and acumen to navigate the business world with calm, confidence, determination and long-term sight. I am also closely involved in the local community life in Corrèze, center of France, where my roots are. I serve as a Vice President and Board Member of the "Festival de la Vézère" Association, which was founded 40 years ago by our family and organize concerts across Corrèze in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
