Peter DeYoung is the CEO of Piramal Global Pharma. Piramal Global Pharma is comprised of Piramal Pharma Solutions, a global Contract Development organization, and Piramal Critical Care, a global complex hospital generics business. Peter completed his graduate degree in Business from Stanford University, and he also has an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Princeton University. His entrepreneurial bent was evident early on when Peter launched his first start-up in high school. With Piramal Pharma for more than a decade, Peter’s career also includes stints with McKinsey and Blackstone. While at Piramal, Peter has led several business transformations, building scalable platforms which resulted in a significant acceleration in profitable growth, customer relevance, and career development opportunities for colleagues. Before joining Piramal, his time at McKinsey and Blackstone taught him the importance of strategy, investment decisions, execution, and talent. His time with World Economic Forum’s Global Health Initiative enabled him to better understand the needs of patients. Peter espouses and practices ‘Patient and Customer Centricity’ in every business decision. Being part of a multi-cultural family and having lived and worked on three continents, Peter believes in the strengths of diversity.
