Rakesh Sharma leads the vision and execution of the Information Security & Risk team for Indigo in the role of Chief Information Security Officer. As the Chief Information Security Officer, Rakesh is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to mitigate risks, strength the company’s security posture and foster a culture of security awareness. Rakesh is a driving force in the company’s commitment to security excellence, ensuring the protection of customer data, and maintaining the trust and confidence of stakeholders in an ever-changing cybersecurity landscape. Rakesh has served as the expert advisor to our many enterprises and industries in the design and deployment of Enterprise Risk, Regulatory Affairs, Information Security, Cyber Security, Privacy and Data Protection, Business Continuity, and Compliance programs. Rakesh is committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity. My certifications in ITIL, MCSE, CCNA, PMP, Security Plus CRISC, CISM, CISA, CDPSE, and ISO27001 LA. continuously enhancing knowledge and skills by actively participating in a wide variety of CISO community. He is passionate about mentoring and developing current and future security professionals including with IIM Indore CISO program, along with multiple other professional and volunteer engagements. As a dedicated Cybersecurity, Risk and Governance Professional with over 22 years of experience, I specialize in safeguarding digital and OT assets and ensuring robust security protocols and compliance governance. My expertise spans across various domains including IT Infrastructure, Applications, network security, threat analysis, and incident response. I am passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to mitigate risks and protect sensitive information.
