Ryan Spencer

Ryan Spencer is the Vice President of Information Technology for Yazaki North & Central America, Yazaki Europe & Africa. Yazaki North America, Inc. and Yazaki Europe Limited are part of the Yazaki Group. An independent automotive component maker founded in Japan in 1941, Yazaki is a global leader in the research, development and delivery of vehicle power and data solutions for automotive applications. Yazaki produces wire harnesses, power distribution & control products, connectors, driver information systems, sensors and hybrid & electric vehicle products. With nearly 290,000 employees in more than 45 countries, Yazaki is one of the world's largest privately-owned automotive suppliers. Ryan is responsible for leading the Information Technology Department, including technology strategy, implementation and support for Yazaki's North and Central American, European and African operations. With his previous experience coupled with his technology background, Ryan has worked to enhance cross-functional interaction focusing on strategic development and execution utilizing best practices and technology to drive efficiency throughout the organization. Prior to Yazaki, Ryan spent 2 years with Dura Automotive, and 26 years with Takata as the Vice President of Information Technology. Ryan holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly GMI). Ryan serves as an adjunct professor to Oakland University’s Executive MBA program instructing in IT strategy. He also serves on various advisory boards for several universities in Michigan.
