Sergio P. Ermotti

I’ve been Group CEO of UBS Group AG since April 2023, having also been CEO of the firm from 2011 to 2020. I re-joined UBS from Swiss Re, where I was the Chairman of the Board of Directors. I also serve as Chairman of Investindustrial Acquisition Corporation (since January 2021); lead non-executive director at Ermenegildo Zegna N. V. (since December 2021); and board member at Innosuisse – Switzerland's Federal Innovation Promotion Agency, which steers Innosuisse in line with the objectives of the Swiss Federal Council (since January 2023). During my previous tenure at UBS (2011 – 2020), I served as UBS Group Chief Executive Officer, member of the Group Executive Board after joining the firm as Chairman and CEO of UBS Group Europe, Middle East and Africa. Before moving to UBS, I served as Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer at UniCredit, Milan from 2007 to 2010, where I was responsible for the strategic business areas of Corporate and Investment Banking, and Private Banking. I joined UniCredit Group in 2005 as Head of Markets & Investment Banking Division. Prior to that, I was with Merrill Lynch from 1987 until 2003 in several roles. Between 2001 and 2003, I served as co-Head of Global Equity Markets and as a member of the Executive Management Committee for Global Markets & Investment Banking. Before this, I held various positions within equity derivatives and capital markets. I started my banking career as an apprentice at a small bank in my hometown of Lugano, Switzerland, I am a Swiss-certified banking expert and a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Oxford University. www.ubs.com/social-legal
