Hussain Shehryar Humayun

I operate at the intersection of AI deployment and independent assurance, shaping how enterprise AI is governed, validated, and scaled responsibly within one of the UK’s largest financial institutions. I oversee audit coverage of Model Risk, including AI models, Model Validation, and Governance, as well as Data, Privacy, and Responsible AI, with a focus on enterprise AI controls. I also lead the function’s innovation agenda, directing the AI, Data, and Engineering team in deploying AI, advanced analytics, data science, and process mining to deliver enhanced assurance and insights. The team manages core applications and the supporting Cloud environment through DevOps, software, and data engineering capabilities. This dual perspective as both auditor and practitioner enables me to ensure AI is innovative, trustworthy, and fully aligned with regulatory and ethical standards.
