Steffan Tomlinson

Steffan is the CFO of Stripe, bringing over 30 years of experience building, growing, and efficiently scaling private and public companies across technology and finance, consistently creating value for customers, shareholders, and stakeholders. As CFO, he has extensive experience operating and scaling large, complex businesses (Stripe, Google Cloud) and has successfully taken three companies public (Confluent, Palo Alto Networks, and Aruba) and helped scale them through each stage of the growth curve post IPO to become large businesses. Earlier in his career, he was the first non-founder employee of Peribit and led the IPO process which concluded with a strategic sale (Juniper). Steffan excels at building high-performing teams and partnering closely with founders, CEOs, executives, and boards to achieve desired outcomes. He possesses deep expertise in operating public companies, capital allocation, capital markets, fundraising, tender offers, and m&a. He has extensive public and private company board experience and serves as an advisor to venture-backed startup companies and entrepreneurs.
