Tara Long, CISSP, CRISC, CISA

As Chief Information Officer (CIO) of FM, I oversee FM’s technology strategy and technology organization, ensuring the company has the right architecture, skills and tools to support clients, business operations and long-term growth. Prior to joining FM, I've served as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Enterprise Infrastructure Services at MassMutual, where I managed infrastructure and security engineering functions. My responsibilities included data center operations, cloud services, network services, middleware, database, server and storage platforms, virtualization, cloud and dev/ops engineering, enterprise data management and engineering and data integration capabilities. During my tenure at MassMutual, I've held several other positions, including divisional CIO roles such as Corporate, Institutional Solutions, and MMUS supporting MassMutual's domestic U.S. insurance and wealth management businesses. Certified information systems auditor (CISA), certified information systems security professional (CISSP) and also certified in risk and information systems controls (CRISC). I hold an MBA with a concentration in MIS from Western New England University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mount Holyoke College. 2022 National CIO of the Year Finalist, 2021 Boston CIO of the Year ORBIE Large Enterprise Winner, Recipient of the 2018 Women in Insurance Leadership award by Digital Insurance. Published and featured in several different industry magazines, including Working Mothers magazine, Profile Magazine, CIO Review and Digital Insurance magazine. On a personal note, I serve on the BostonCIO and NYCIO Advisory Boards, and in my free time enjoy spending quality time with my family and skiing.
