Zubin Irani

Zubin Irani is currently a Partner with TPG Capital, leading the Operations/ Business Building group in Asia. He is part of the Investment Committee and responsible for the performance of TPG's portfolio in the region, on-boarding talent, value creation within specific portfolio companies and building the Ops team in Asia. Zubin sits on the boards/ executive committees for many TPG portfolio companies in Asia and works closely with the CEOs/ management teams within these businesses. At TPG, Zubin has spent most of his time in the consumer goods, retail, healthcare services, telecom/ technology and industrial sectors Prior to joining TPG, Zubin worked with UTC for 10 years spanning several general management roles. In his last role, Zubin was the President for UTC Building & Industrial Systems (BIS) in the India region with full P&L accountability for South Asia. He was responsible for developing and executing on strategies to accelerate the growth of UTC’s commercial businesses in the region. They included Carrier Air-conditioning and Refrigeration , Otis Elevators and UTC Fire & Security. Zubin also set up and lead UTC India’s Corporate Office in New Delhi, helping build relationships with key stakeholders in India Prior to joining UTC, Zubin worked with McKinsey and Company for six years serving several muti-national clients in the automotive and industrial sectors across North America, Europe and Asia. He is an alumna of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He is currently a board member of the MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund. During his tenure with UTC in India, Zubin was very active with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), including chairing the Northern Region in 2014. He was also on the boards/ governing bodies of AMCHAM India, TERI and the India Green Building Council. Zubin is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) in Delhi and Singapore
