I am whatever Ather needs me to be. As a CTO, I concentrate on defining engineering culture and developing technology roadmap for Ather. Strong focus is on building innovative engineering processes which leads to faster product development life cycle. The objective is to be the conductor who can orchestrate the various engineering domains to flawlessly play the symphony called Product. Along with that, ensuring that state of the art technology is always adopted in the product so that we continue to make the product incredible.

Swapnil and I started Ather Energy back in 2013 in the IIT Madras campus. What started out as an attempt to build better batteries grew into a full ecosystem-level org-building exercise. We developed and launched India’s first smart electric scooter that aims to revolutionise two-wheeler driving in India. As the CEO of Ather, I lead our efforts on the product, business, as well as growth front, all with a stubborn vision of delivering the best experience to Ather’s customers. I am an ardent believer in the ecosystem approach to accelerate the adoption of EVs. Over the years, Swapnil and I have worked with various stakeholders to create EV-supportive ecosystems by facilitating growth on the charging infrastructure and supplier front as well.
