I believe in the positive power of bringing people together and working on a common purpose – developing new drugs to keep people healthy or enabling them to regain their health or precious months after having been sick. Many years ago, my mother and mother-in-law received the treatment I was responsible for which showed me, on a very personal level, what impact we can have working in the pharmaceutical industry. I have met many people who share similar experiences in our industry or across the healthcare system. Partnering and working with all of them, lighting the fire and overcoming hurdles to improve people’s lives creates a lasting societal impact for our future generations. I want to foster a culture where integrity, diversity, courage and respect for different viewpoints are valued, as they are important building blocks to make it happen.
