I lead two engineering organizations at Charles Schwab — Workplace Services and AI Engineering Enablement — where my focus is on transforming how a major financial services firm builds and delivers technology in an AI-first world. My career spans 30+ years and a pretty unusual path: I founded an e-learning company whose primary customer was Microsoft, producing software that shipped on multiple Windows and Office versions worldwide in 35 languages. I went on to serve as CTO for a fintech firm where our platform was named Morningstar's Most Innovative Advisor Product, built petabyte-scale data systems at Amazon, and now lead AI Engineering Enablement at Schwab. The thread connecting all of it is a drive to build things that work at scale and matter to the people who use them — whether that's client-facing experiences across web and mobile, mission-critical retirement and trading platforms, or the AI tooling that's changing how thousands of engineers write software. I'm passionate about talent development, and it shows in my track record — I've transformed engineering organizations everywhere I've worked by raising the talent bar, building high-performing teams, and creating the operational rigor that lets large technology organizations deliver more without simply spending more.
