About Amazon
Amazon operates based on four key principles: prioritizing customer needs over competitor actions, a drive for innovation, a focus on operational efficiency, and a long-term outlook. Our motivation comes from the thrill of creating technologies, developing products, and delivering services that have a meaningful impact. We welcome new approaches, act swiftly in decision-making, and embrace the possibility of failure. We combine the resources and reach of a major corporation with the agility and passion of a smaller enterprise. Working together, Amazonians develop new technologies, spanning from Amazon Web Services to Alexa, with our customers in mind: shoppers, merchants, content producers, and developers across the globe. Our goal is to be the most customer-focused company on Earth. Every action, objective, project, program, and invention is driven by and for the customer. You will often hear us mention that at Amazon, it is always "Day 1." What does that signify? It means our approach mirrors that of Amazon's first day—making wise, rapid decisions, staying flexible, innovating, and concentrating on making our customers happy.
