Executive Overview

As a senior executive with 20+ years of M&A, Corporate Strategy, Shareholder Activist Defense, and Board experience, I take action to maximize shareholder value. I am the VP of Corporate Development at Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) where I work in close partnership with the CEO, board and the Ford family to identify and execute high-impact acquisition, strategic investment and partnership transactions with companies with technology, capabilities and talent which will advance the Ford+ plan for growth and value creation. My expertise includes: • Portfolio Transformation Leader: Developing M&A strategies and executing “needle-moving” transactions to transform portfolios towards value-creating growth and top-tier shareholder return models. • Activist Defense Leader: Protecting companies from activist shareholders. • CEO Advisor: Advising CEOs as a director on 5 corporate and 2 non-profit boards. • Team Builder: Building highly skilled, collaborative and influential teams that consistently deliver an outsized impact on the company. Previously, as the VP of M&A and Corporate Strategy at General Mills (NYSE: GIS), I worked in close partnership with the CEO and board. Most recently, I led the development of General Mills’ Accelerate corporate strategy, and was the originator, driver and lead negotiator of the company’s $8B acquisition of Blue Buffalo Pet Products. Previously, as the VP of M&A at NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading digital map provider, I led the execution of transactions which enabled NAVTEQ’s expansion into location-based services, 3D mapping, mobile advertising, application software, and crowd-sourced data. I also played a key role in the company’s $8B sale to Nokia. Previously, at Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), I led the execution of several multi-billion dollar divestitures in one of the largest non-bankruptcy reorganizations in U.S. history, and at Merrill Lynch & Co. (NYSE: ML), I executed buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions across multiple industries and geographies. I earned an MBA with Honors from University of Chicago and a BA with Distinction from University of Michigan. I serve on the Board of Directors of Rahr Corporation.
