George Bandy Jr

George Bandy, Jr. is a global leader of sustainability, circularity and climate impact with over 25 years of professional experience. George provides innovation and insight on the concepts and practices of sustainability. He believes that looking for opportunities to implement environmental, economic and socially responsible solutions for customers will create positive impact in business, that will result in a brighter future for us all. George is passionate and dynamic speaker on the importance of commitment to innovative vision for a sustainable future; convening on such topics as: The Courage and Genius of Sustainability, Real Circular Economy, Health and Wellness for ALL, Innovation and Smart Design, Greening the Supply Chain, Social Sustainability and The Future of Sustainable Impact. In addition to his professional duties, George currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Green Business Certification Incorporated Board, Trane Technologies Sustainability Advisory Board and the International Interior Design Association Foundation Board. George is the former Chairman of the Board for the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). He was recognized recently as a 2020 Living Future Hero and in 2018, he was a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership Award recipient. George is a native of Opelika, Alabama and a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA with a Bachelor’s degree in English with continued environmental business and sustainability training at the University of Texas-Houston.
