Girish Nayak

Currently, I am associated with ICICI Lombard General Insurance as Chief – Technology and Health (Underwriting and Claims). I moved to ICICI Lombard in April 2013 as Chief – Customer Service, Operations and Technology, a role which I managed till February 2023. Joined ICICI Group in 1994 and after initial stint in the Project Finance Group, moved into the Oil & Gas Group, a strategic business unit, for Project and Corporate financing of large Oil & Gas projects across India. In December 1999, was chosen as one of the core members for ICICI Ltd’s foray into e-commerce. Was responsible for many of the investments, incubation and e-initiatives of the e-commerce group. In February 2001, headed the Technology Management Group, which looked at technology strategy for the ICICI Group leveraging emerging technologies for new business opportunities. In May 2004, headed the Strategy for the International Banking Group. Was responsible for conceptualizing and implementing new business initiatives across multiple geographies for the Bank as a part of its international foray. In May 2006, I took up the additional responsibility of looking after the International Private Banking Group. In April 2009, I moved to the Corporate Banking Group as Business Head (West). My core responsibility here was managing Promoter and CEO relationships with top Corporates of Western India.
