Executive Overview
Hasmukh Ranjan is senior vice president and chief information officer at AMD where he leads the Information Technology (IT) and Indirect Procurement teams, with responsibility for strategy, applications, infrastructure, security, support, and execution. AMD IT’s primary goals are focused on process simplification to achieve operational excellence for IT operations, providing elastic computing to our engineers through grid efficiency and cloud expansion, and assessing the impact of innovative AI investments and adoption. Before AMD, Ranjan was with Xilinx since July 2020 where he was responsible for executing a world-class technical enablement and information technology strategy in support of the Xilinx mission to “Build the Adaptable, Intelligent World” as a member of the executive team. Ranjan has extensive experience managing global IT operations for geographically and culturally diverse organizations, as well as establishing organizational vision and strategy, leading large teams, executing global insourcing/outsourcing strategies, setting up onsite/offshore delivery models, and M&A planning and integration. Ranjan brings with him over 20+ years of experience as an information technology leader. Before joining Xilinx, he was CIO at Synopsys, where he was responsible for all facets of IT, including strategy, applications, infrastructure, security, support, and execution. In addition, he was a member of the board of Synopsys Foundation driving various charitable initiatives of the organization. Ranjan earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology, a Master of Computer Science from Northeastern University, and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University. He completed his high school studies at Sainik School, Tilaiya.
