As Chief Operating Officer of Piramal Pharma Solutions, I lead the company’s Operations across a worldwide network of drug substance and drug product facilities. Those responsibilities include global R&D, Engineering, EHS, Project Management, Supply Chain, IT, Corporate Projects, and Established Products. Working in close collaboration with the commercial organization, we are building strong, successful customer relationships. With 25 years of global supply chain, procurement, and operations experience, I am driven to build effective teams, people and organizations to deliver high performance in a fast-paced and competitive environment. I am focused on developing customer centric strategies, creating lean organizations, and engaging employees through a robust and inclusive corporate culture. Prior to PIRAMAL PHARMA SOLUTIONS , I had the privilege to lead a network of Lonza Cell and Gene' sites across the globe, enabling our customer to develop and commercialize those new medicines. I was previously the Site Head for the Lonza Biologics Facility, Portsmouth site, USA, where I managed a team of highly dedicated professionals Manufacturing and Supplying Biologics Drug Substance. Prior to LONZA I worked at Sandoz, a division of Novartis, as Vice President Technical Operations and Site Head in Colorado. Before Sandoz/Novartis, I spent a few years of my career with AstraZeneca, a multinational pharmaceutical and biologics company. Most recently, I was Head of Biotech Procurement for AstraZeneca and MedImmune and also held additional leadership positions, including Executive Director and General Manager at the Westborough, Mass. facility, Site Head and Director of Middle East and North Africa Supply for AstraZeneca Egypt, and assignments in the United Kingdom and France.
