I am proud to serve as president & CEO of FedEx Freight.This is an exciting moment for FedEx Freight as we begin a new chapter as an independent company focused on safety, exceptional service and creating long-term value for our customers, team members, and shareholders.My journey in the LTL industry began more than 40 years ago. With a Geology degree in hand, I planned to work in the oil industry, but a recession changed my path. What felt like a setback at the time, was actually an opportunity that shaped my entire career.I joined FedEx in 2000 and have spent the past two decades helping to shape company culture and performance, while learning and growing alongside incredible teams. I’ve had the chance to work across nearly every part of the operation – safety, sales, transportation, fleet maintenance, and facility services.During my first tenure as President and CEO of FedEx Freight from 2018 - 2021, I had the responsibility of leading through the pandemic. It was a challenging time, but we grew revenue and operating income, while protecting our team members, supporting customers, and creating a stronger business in the process. Returning to this role now, I bring the lessons learned, a sharper strategic focus, and a deep appreciation for the people who make this industry run every day.Outside of FedEx, I’m proud to serve on the board of the American Transportation Research Institute, working with others to help shape the future of an industry that has given me so much.
