I am a Board Director and former C-suite executive with a multifaceted background leading all major aspects of a highly regulated financial services institution. My success is based on four cornerstones of knowledge—risk management, financial expertise, strategic leadership, and customer insight—developed over a 24+ year at PNC, culminating as Executive Committee Member and Chief Risk Officer. I now apply my expertise as a Board Director forAmerican Express National Bank, where I provide valued insight on regulatory change, balance sheet stress, and economic disruption. I also guide strategy on managing technology/AI and cybersecurity risk and its implications in a K-shaped economy across customer segments and employees.As Chief Risk Officer, I led a team of 1,300 to transform PNC’s operational risk and new technology risk frameworks with a focus on guiding sound technology investments and fortifying information security across the organization. This included building out the model and data risk functions that support today’s analytical decision-making processes. Throughout my 24-year career at PNC, I maintained a relentless focus on the customer—forged during direct customer leadership roles in retail, and corporate and institutional banking. Similarly, I’ve held a passion for coaching and empowering others while fostering work cultures that ensure voices at all levels are heard, all of which creates a stronger organization. I'm also proud of the trusted relationships I've built with regulatory bodies, including The Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC, and CFTC.Devoted to my community, I have been an active not-for-profit board member for more than 20 years.
