“It all started at the age of 12, when I asked my incredible mom for a computer for Christmas. She was a single parent, and worked extra shifts at her job to be sure that I could have the opportunity to learn about computer programming on a Commodore 64. She changed everything.” – Lakecia Gunter I am a global technology executive and corporate board director widely regarded for strategic judgment at moments of technological and organizational inflection, and recognized for guiding enterprises through technology-driven change with discipline, foresight, and accountability. A 25-year technology industry veteran, I’ve driven enterprise innovation and profitable growth for global technology companies, with deep expertise spanning artificial intelligence, global partner strategy, platform transformation, and new-business acceleration. I’m known for building and scaling strategic partnerships and platforms that deliver measurable business impact at global scale. My career spans the U.S. Federal Government and global Fortune 50 enterprises, beginning with early work as a digital logic designer and program manager at the Department of Defense, followed by senior leadership roles at Intel, where I served as Chief of Staff to the CEO. Most recently, as Chief Technology Officer for Global Partner Solutions at Microsoft, I shaped technical vision and partner-led growth at global scale—leading multi-billion-dollar platforms and global partner ecosystems at every level of enterprise scale. In addition to my operating leadership, I’m known for helping executive teams and boards translate complex technology into clear strategic choices, particularly during periods of disruption, reinvention, and market transition. My perspective is grounded in enterprise stewardship, long-term value creation, and effective governance, informed by deep operating experience rather than functional execution alone. I currently serve as an independent director on the Board of IDEX Corporation and as a board advisor to Responsive.io, a private-equity-backed software company. I’m also the founder and host of ROAR with Lakecia Gunter, spotlighting candid conversations with leaders navigating growth, transition, and opportunity.
