As a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Company, I am a senior global leader focused on clients in the financial services (banking, insurance, payments, wealth management, financial infrastructure, FinTech), health insurance, and information services sectors. Over the years, I have successfully led several of McKinsey’s global practices, including Consumer/Business Banking, Digital Insurance, and Midwest Financial Services. I have also been the managing partner heading McKinsey’s Digital McKinsey office in the Midwest region. My deep strategic, technology and operating experience developed over my professional career spanning 3 decades enables me to bring distinctive expertise and insights to my long-standing clients. Recent topics I have been deeply engaged in with clients include: turbocharging growth during volatile times, organizational effectiveness for resilience, agentic-AI enterprise rewiring, responsibe value creation from AI, multichannel distribution, and ambitious performance turnarounds. I’ve worked extensively with some of the world’s leading public, mutual and privately-held institutions, including banks, insurers, wealth managers, payments companies, health insurers, airlines, and technology solutions providers. I am an active global public speaker and author. My recent publications cover topics on the rapid digitization and AI-enablement of the financial services sector, viable growth models for wealth managers and insurers, pragmatic implications of AI across industries, and successful CEO leadership models. I was awarded a U.S. patent for my work on real-time digital transaction systems. I hold an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where I graduated on the Dean’s Honor List. I also hold an MS in computer science with distinction from University of Minnesota and a BS in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. I serve on several civic boards, including the Smithsonian National Board, Northwestern University Kellogg School’s Global Advisory Board, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi’s Investment Advisory Board, Chicago Humanities and Miami’s Frost Museum. I have also served as past Board Chair of the Adler Planetarium of Chicago, and am a long term member of the Economic Club of Chicago I also actively support humanitarian institutions such as Marwen, an organization that provides free visual arts classes to under-served Chicago youth, and The American-India Foundation, dedicated to catalyzing economic change in India.
