Rajeev is the Vice Chairman of Bajaj Finance Limited, the most diversified NBFC in India. At Bajaj Finance Limited, Rajeev has charted an ambitious growth path for the Company turning it from a captive finance company to the most diversified non-bank in India delivering assets, deposits, payments, insurance, investment and broking products to Consumer, MSME, Commercial and Rural consumers. Under his leadership, Bajaj Finance Limited has delivered a 14-year 51% CAGR growth of Profit and an asset growth of 37% CAGR. Barring the pandemic year 2021, Return on Equity has been averaging over 20% in last 10 years. During the pandemic, Rajeev successfully carried out Zero based budgeting exercise, reimagining all the processes across businesses and functions in the Company. Currently, Rajeev is driving Bajaj Finance Limited towards a “new way of doing business”. This “new way of doing business” envisages Bajaj Finance Limited to be an Omnipresent financial services Company enabling existing and new customers to engage, transact and be serviced online to offline and vice versa without friction. Rajeev has an overall experience of 28 years in diverse companies. Before starting his journey with BFL, he was associated with American International Group from August 2006 to August 2007 as the Deputy CEO of its Consumer Finance business. Prior to that, Rajeev was with American Express where he spent about six years from October 1999 to July 2005. During this period, he did various roles across products like credit cards, personal and business loans etc. Prior to that, Rajeev worked as Business Development Manager with GE Capital for about 4.5 years and was amongst the first 10 employees at GE Money, India. He started his career in 1993 with Eicher as a management trainee. Rajeev is a Management graduate from T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal & holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from American College.
