Over 35 years of experience in corporate world, spanning diverse roles and responsibilities ranging from IT, logistics, business analytics, digital transformation, HR, learning & development and CSR. Thought leader in information technology and the auto-business, always taking a long-term vision and recognizing trends and shifts quickly. Keen student of global best practices and when possible adapted them to suit local contexts and needs. ● At MSIL created the IT ecosystem that drives the enterprise and powers its people. Leads a team of over 400 IT professionals, and 350 HR professionals who are committed to serve the technology and people needs of the organization. ● Drives the Maruti Suzuki Training Academy (MSTA) that is tasked with building competent people across the value chain. ● Trustee at MSIL adopted Delhi Public Schools. On the boards of various educational institutes such as NIT Srinagar. The chairman of Institute Management Committee for various MSIL adopted Industrial Training Institutes. ● Co-chairman of the CIO committee of CII and an active member of SIAM IT Group and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). ● Recipient of several awards including Global CIO, CIO Choice, Best CIO of the year. Also done jury duty for some of the leading technology awards in India. ● A regular speaker at various forums across the globe. ● Prior to Maruti, worked four years at BHEL (1981-85) immediately after BE Hons (Mechanical engineering) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
