Strategic, transformation-focused, CFO with proven delivery across a range of roles, geographies, and working environments. I have deep expertise in Banking and Finance with success across Business CFO, Technology CFO, FP&A, Finance Operations, Treasury, Tax, Accounting, Controls, Risk Management, and Transformation. I have a track-record of optimising business performance, building strong collaborative relationships, being a trusted advisor to the most senior stakeholders, and delivering new capabilities (especially with the use and adoption of evolving technologies). I have a reputation for bringing different perspectives and ideas to the table, problem-solving, and being a values-based leader experienced in building, mentoring and leading global high-performance teams. I am passionate about technology, data & analytics, which are core parts of all the roles that I do, and am energised by driving change across the teams and organisations I am a part of. I am globally minded, and have been privileged to live full-time in 6 countries and work shorter-term in many more. I have thrived in the diverse experience this has entailed and benefited hugely from understanding some of the different perspectives that can rationally be applied to the same problem. These experiences have helped me develop the ability to adapt quickly and deliver in new and complex situations. Following an initial grounding in Finance with BDO, and Banking with RBS, I worked at HSBC for over 10 years as am a member of the bank’s International Manager Programme, a talent management scheme for high-potential internationally mobile executives. I am currently with UniCredit where my primary responsibility is as CFO for the Digital business which allows me to blend my experiences with passions for modern technology and enterprise-wide transformation. I have a lot of senior-level governance experience serving on different Executive Committees, running GEC level initiatives, and being a member of a number of supervisory boards in both HSBC and UniCredit including serving as Chair of the Audit Committee. I am particularly passionate about people development. As the working world evolves rapidly I believe that it is a critical management responsibility to enable skill development in teams so that they can keep pace and relevance. I have successfully built and re-skilled teams a number of times, as well as actively sponsoring a number of transformation and development initiatives focused on People and Culture.
