Executive Overview

At Enel, we are committed every day to building a better tomorrow through innovative and responsible energy solutions, in harmony with the environment around us. Our purpose, “Build the future through sustainable power”, reflects our ambition to shape the future with clean energy generated by our plants across the world. We act with responsibility and foresight to innovate, transform, and inspire. This challenge is important for each of us, and we will overcome it, guided by our five core values: trust, innovation, proactivity, flexibility, and respect. At Enel Green Power, our mission is to drive electrification while genuinely caring for people and the environment. Personally, I deeply believe that delivering sustainable energy isn’t just about technology or infrastructure — it’s about creating real, lasting value for everyone involved. That’s why I place great importance on building strong, trust-based relationships with our consumers, partners, investors, institutions, and the local communities we work with every day. Enel is driving the energy transition through a business model that integrates the development of renewable energy sources with dispatchable technologies, such as battery energy storage systems (BESS), and a stable, flexible, and secure grid. At the heart of our strategy is the transition to a decarbonized society: we are decommissioning our coal-fired plants, while natural gas will continue to play a temporary yet important role in ensuring energy systems stability. Moreover, to create value, the energy transition must be just, enhancing both the social and economic context. That’s why we aim to diversify the supply chain and to work with communities to build social acceptance. I am proud to say that I have spent much of my career at Enel working in the energy sector, both in Europe and Latin America. Since 2020 I have been CEO of Enel Green Power and Head of Enel Global Power and Thermal Generation. Prior to that, I served as General Manager of Enel Green Power for Chile and the Andean Countries, where our goal was to achieve leadership in renewable energy across the Southern Cone of South America. I later became Head of Renewables for South America, managing a 12 GW portfolio that included hydroelectric, wind, solar, and geothermal assets. Before taking on my current role, I also served as Head of Global Procurement for the Enel Group.
