Yuri Rassega has been CISO at Enel since 2016. He is in charge of leading all processes of IT&OT&IoT Cyber Security, incl. Governance, Engineering, Group CERT (CSIRT) and Digital Identity Managment. Previously, (2014-2016), he was head of the Global ICT Sol.Center for AFC,HR,Procurement & Holding Functions; (2004-2014) he headed the Group’s Global ICT Audit Function. He joined Enel in 2001 as CIO at Enel Hydro SpA. Before working in Enel, Yuri Rassega served through a wide range of roles in the ICT industry, from software development and electronic design, to consultancy, to entrepreneurial roles and senior management positions. In the early 1990s, he co-founded a start-up developing SCADA/ACS/ICS solutions. (1999-2001) Yuri Rassega served as the CIO of a Telco co. leading the startup journey from the ‘green-field’ to the scale-up phase. He is member of some institution’s expert WGs such as UE-sponsored onces, G7, G20, WEF-World Economic Forum (with 7 publications), CIGRE. He serves as adjunct professor in Master & Courses: Univ.Modena and R.E. (2016+), Univ.Genova (2018+), Univ.Bologna Business School (2018+), Il Sole24Ore Business School (2020+), LUISS Business School (2021+), Univ.Firenze (2021+); UniSapienza(2023); Lectures at civil and military Academies: Accademia Aeronautica Pozzuoli (2017); Accademia Navale Livorno (2018); Accademia Militare Modena (2018); Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa CASD Roma (2018). He wrote his first paper on Artificial Intelligence in 1988. He is a founding partner of the national “Accademia di Ingegneria e Tecnologia” - Italy. He participates as a speaker/panel chair/Advisory Board member at dozens of international conferences, in Europe, North America, Middle East, Asia, on cyber security, digital transformation and wireless communications technologies since early 2000’s. He is also an inventor having developed some patented digital tools and fraud detection methods in Europe, United States and Latin American countries.
